No road worth traveling is ever completely smooth...
So, our originally scheduled settlement date of June 3rd has been pushed back by a week due to some delays and issues.
- Our concrete driveway was not poured on time, due to a delay in the approval of the city inspection. It is being re-graded and this has held up the final grading of the yard, landscaping, and sod installation.
- We added in under-cabinet lighting in the kitchen, a Non-Standard Special Request, which was overlooked. Our project manager was very apologetic about the miss, but in order to completed the installation - they need to remove all of our upper cabinets and some of our backsplash to run the wiring and install the lighting :(
- We also requested that no closet shelving be installed in the house. We wanted to be able to put in our own higher quality shelving, without wall holes to patch and repaint. Well .... all of the closets had shelves, and they will be taken down and fixed.
Updated Pictures:
Outside of the house is still without its driveway and sidewalk, but we have gained the decorative thingy's above some of our windows and front door (that still needs to be switched to black). And we got a mailbox :)
Carpet has been installed throughout the house (it is the same carpet in both pictures, just looks different due to the lighting).
Looking good!

Looks great! So sorry for the delay, but I guess you couldn't move in yet anyway so not too much of a set back (at least for you and the boys :) )
